Abstract

Soon 20 years ago, specialists from St. Luke's Hospital in New York published a article in which they suggested that physical activity in anorexia nervosa it was not simply a consequence of the decision to increase spending caloric (Kron et al, 1978). In a group of 33 hospitalized patients, 25 had "hyperactivity "during his illness; of these 25, 21 appeared to have engaged in physical activity out of date before starting food restriction and weight loss; in a follow-up study 13 patients were interviewed: 10 continued with excessive physical activity despite the fact that in your most had significantly regained weight and some had seen the amenorrhea disappear
