Objective: to show our experience in the employment of the EPQ-J in the evaluation and diagnostic of children and adolescents. Material and method: the study through che individual application of the EPQ-J in two samples: scholastic children in latency age (of 8 to 11 years) and adolescents (of 12 to 15 years). Results: it was studied 307 of our outpatients: 136 children and 171 adolescents. It was applied the statistic contrast with squared Chi to determine the homogeneity of the samples far the different scales. Both samples are homogeneous for the scales N and E, but not for the scales P, S and CA. Conclusions: the employment of the scales of the EPQ-J seems us useful in the evaluation and diagnostic of children and adolescents that attend to a Child Psychiatric Unit.
