Valoración evolutiva de los trastornos obsesivos en la infancia. Pautas terapéuticas farmacológicas

Se trata de un estudio epidemiológico de 73 niños diagnosticados de trastorno obsesivocompulsivo, comprendiendo las edades entre 5 a 7 m y 14 a 6 m, con una duración mínima del estado obsesivo de 6 meses.
El estudio pone de manifiesto que el promedio de edad de mayor prevalencia se encuentra entre los 13-14 y 10-11 años, siendo más frecuente en los varones en una relación de 2/1.
Asi mismo encuentra un elevado índice de relaciones conflictivas intrafamiliares.
Se valora la evolución analizándola en grupos sintomatológicos haciendo hincapié en el tratamiento mixto -medicamentoso y psicoterapéutico- como más satisfactorio que los unifactoriales. Los resultados más positivos se encuentran con la administración de tricíclicos, no obstante se apuesta por la asociación ante situaciones sintomatológicas específicas.
