Abstract

Introduction: attention deficit disorder with hyperactivity (ADHD) is a behavioral syndrome with a prevalence of 5.3%. Both from the healthcare and educational efforts are poured in knowing and treating the disease and its effects on the individual, so it is necessary to know where to find scientific evidence. The objective of this study is to identify the most representative magazines about ADHD.

Methodology: The reference sources were MEDLINE and SCImago Journal & Country Rank, year 2012. For the analysis we used the indicators of production, spread, and impact.

Results: The magazine with ADHD increased production of the Journal of Attention Disorders and publication with the greatest impact is the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Discussion: The results show that there is a direct relationship between journals with higher production and greater impact, not possible to identify a single magazine as the best.
