Abstract

Children are more vulnerable to the effects of trauma(s) because of the impact on their developing brains. Cue-Centered Therapy, from Stanford University is an evidence-based psychotherapy, guiding the therapist session by session, for the treatment of chronic posttraumatic stress. The treatment of a 14-year-old patient following the Cue-Centered Therapy, following a hybrid format (in-person and online) is described. At the end of the treatment sessions, the posttraumatic symptoms are reduced not meeting clinical criteria. Combined online and in-person Cue-Centered Therapy is a suggested treatment option for chronic posttraumatic stress disorder in children.
