Study of affective disorders in a sample of young adults with mental retardation

Theoric considerattons about the importance of establishing a dual diagnostic in young adults with mental deficiency, and more specifically on afective disorders. It is studied on a sample of 96 young adults with limit, light and moderate mental deficiency througb the WAIS; in ages which do not exceed 40 years old, and who are attended as full or balf board pensioner, belonging mostly to a mediumlow social-economical level. 67% show a clearly defined psycbiatric disorder, and 9.5% are mood disorders.
