Abstract

In this article, Wilens et al. review the use of drug combinations in the treatment of psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents. The need for the use of associations has arisen from the often unsatisfactory response to a single drug, the growing awareness of high levels of psychiatric comorbidity, and the apparent synergy of the association of psychotherapeutic pharmacological agents.
