Abstract

Asperger's syndrome is a specific pervasive developmental disorder characterized by the following items: l. Normal intelligence. 2. Qualitative alterations in reciprocal social interactions. 3. Strange behaviors. 4. Absence of clinically significant alterations in cognitive development and self-help skills, language, adaptive behavior, and curiosity about the environment. 5. Restricted, repetitive, and stereotyped behaviors, interests, and activities. 6. Motor clumsiness.
