Abstract

The Consultation-liaison psychiatry in children and adolescents is an aspect in rapid progression of the every time more developed paidopsychiatric activity. In spite of the insinuations at its beginning, this activity is currently accepted as essential if not indispensable in hospitals looking after children­young population. This work is a retrospective and descriptive study of the activity performed, in patients admitted in a general hospital, by part of a Consultation-liaison paidopsychiatric service during 4 years and 7 months. There are clínica! and sociodemographic data showed, and also the ones regarding sort of demand. It is concluded the implementation necessity of this activity and how useful it is.
