Abstract

The purpose of this paper is study the relationship between familiar environment and adolescent adjust­ment. The Adolescent completed a general cuestionary designed in our departnumt, and where we selectioned questions in relation with family environment. To study de adjustment we used the Bell adolescence test wihch included measures of familiar; social, health ancl emo­tional adjustment. The sample (N=657) is representati­ve from young Galicians of urban areas, ( 12-17 years old). -The results shows that woman are aware better the problems, are discriminated more in relationships and deal better with problems. The adjustment was related positively with items that represent denwcratic parent-child relationships independent of sex, aged or social class.
