Resumen

Los trastornos de atención con hiperactividad continúan siendo entidades controvertidas a pesar de ser trastornos muy frecuentes del desarrollo. El objetivo de nuestra revisión es mostrar aquellos trabajos que han aportado diferencias entre ambos trastornos desde diferentes perspectivas: frecuencia, antecedentes familiares, diferencias cognitivas, conductuales y neuroquímicas. Todo ello justifica la necesidad de un diagnóstico diferencial.
