Resumen

Presentamos el estudio citogenético de ocho niños de ambos sexos, entre los 4 y 13 años, con síndrome X Frágil y la afectación familiar, recordando su fenotipo y clínica, pues aunque está bien delimitado, puede pasar inadvertido pese a su alta incidencia en la población general. Exponemos el estudio psicopatológico: peculiaridades del retraso mental, lenguaje, rasgos de carácter, hiperactividad y estereotipias, ya que estos aspectos pueden ser importantes y decisivos para sospechar el diagnóstico. Comparamos nuestros hallazgos con los procedentes de la revisión bibliográfica que hemos realizado de los últimos tres años.
