Resumen

Estudiamos descriptivamente el síntoma enuresis en 150 primeros casos nuevos que acuden al CSMIJ, mediante encuesta sociodemográfica y clínica. Resultando que presentan enui-esis el 21 % de todos los casos; en la enfermedad actual 15%, en los antecedentes 10%, en ambos 4%. La enuresis se asocia a los trastornos más frecuentes para cada etapa evolutiva. Es en los adolescentes consultantes, donde aparece una mayor prevalencia de enuresis (triple de la esperada en la población general), y en los que parece formar parte de un índrome característico: temor a crecer y responsabilizarse, retraso escolar, enuresis, conflictos relacionales, dificultades oroalimentarias, en ocasiones con problemas familiares.
