Attention-deficit / hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is the most prevalent neuropsychiatric disease in childhood; however the main symptoms are sometimes associated with obsessive symptoms, behavioral and mood disorders. We report a case of a 11-years-old boy studied for ADHD in the past, whose symptoms were improved partially by conventional psychotropic drugs, and also suffering from other neuropsychiatric symptoms. Because a great clinical and psychopathological assessment, we could define a common etiology of all the symptoms, caused by group A Streptococcal infection. We describe that we could reach a successful improvement of the symptoms using a correct antibiotic and conventional treatment, along with cognitive behavioral therapy.
