Resumen

Se realiza un recorrido por los principales trabajos que describen la clínica, semiología, psicopatología y dinámica de estos pacientes, así como la típica estructura familiar en que surgen.
Se analizan posteriormente las distintas va­loraciones terapéuticas de diversos autores, pu­diéndose afirmar que la reasignación quirúr­gica debe ser considerada solamente, y como último resorte, para aquellos casos que reunan unas características determinadas y dentro de una protocolización muy rígida.
Por otra parte los tratamientos psicotera­péuticos no han dado resultado curativo y pa­rece ser que la única posibilidad terapéutica sería su empleo preventivo durante la infan­cia, acompañado de una actuación a nivel fa­miliar.
