Resumen

La asociación entre infección por estreptococo ß-hemolítico del grupo A y una sintomatología obsesiva y/o tics en niños se ha denominado PANDAS (Pediatric Autoinmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections). En este artículo se presenta el caso de un niño de 12 años que presenta una ideación de características obsesivas en relación con el aumento de peso, manteniendo un comportamiento congruente con tal ideación de tipo compulsivo.
