Conductas incendiarias en la niñez: una forma de trastorno de comportamiento. A propósito de un caso clínico.

La provocación de incendios, un síntoma poco frecuente en la Psiquiatría· Infanto-Juvenil, habitualmente se halla formando parte de una conducta desadaptativa en el niño o en el adolescente.
Varias han sido las teorías que a lo largo de la historia han pretendido explicar cuáles son las motivaciones más influyentes en las conductas incendiarias. Para los psicoanalistas sería la existencia de impulsos sádicos reflejo de una fijación erótico-uretral mientras que para otros autores serían el afán de poder, libertad y autoafirmación frustrados los que facilitarían la posterior elaboración de pulsiones vindicativas. En la actualidad son los aspectos relacionados con los hallazgos biológicos (hipoglucemias reactivas, niveles bajos de MHPG en el LCR, reactividad galvánica de la piel...) los más investigados.
Presentamos el caso clínico de un niño 4 ue a la edad de 2 años realiza por primera vez un acto incendiario, que repetirá en varias ocasiones, y que posteriormente se verá acompañado
de severos trastornos de comportamiento con impulsividad mal controlada.
