Abstract

The assessment of the sexually abused child is studied from both clinical and legal sides. An accurate evaluation will allow the elucidation of the facts and the protection of the child. Guidelines for this assessment are given and instruments such as the «Child Behavior Inventory (CBSI) and Anatomical Dolls are described. False statements and differential diagnosis of abuse allegations are also considered.
